Shreemanta Shankardev is well known to all as the preceptor of Indian religion and culture.
LAST JOURNEY TO ETERNAL ABODE (BAIKUNTHA PRAYAAN) –
Jagat Guru Shreemanta Shankardev after completing his human activities, breathed his last in 1568 A.D. According to the India (Hindu) calender it will be in 1490 Shakaabda, in the month of Bhaadra in Shuklaa dviteeyaa tithi. The place of last breath of Shankardev is the Madhupur thaan of kochbehaar. He lived upto hundred twenty years of age with good health and sound mind.
At the end, pray to the God for world peace and progress. May all the citizens of the world incline to the God with scientific mentality and wish all the citizens of the world would get the blessings from God and kind-vision from Jagat Guru Shreemanta Shankardev.

Taamasata hante shavda gunara prakaasha |
shavadaro putra bhailaa naamata aakaasha ||
Aakaashata hante parashara utapati| (Gaseous stage of the Earth)
Parashara putra bhailaa baayu mahaamati ll ( 54)
Baayu hante rupa naame putra avataara |
Rupar tanaya bhailaa agni chamatkaara ||
Aganira putra bhailaa rasa mahaamati |
