JAGAT GURU SHREEMANTA SHANKARDEV
(THE WORLD PRECEPTOR SHREEMANTA SHANKARDEV )

UPTO SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE :
Jagat Guru Shreemanta Shankardev was born in 1449 A.D. His mother was Satyasandhaa and father was Kusumbar Shiromani Bhooyaan (in general written as Bhuyan). The name of birth place is Aalipukhuree which is situated near Bardowaa of Assam state in India.
After birth Sindhiraam Jyotish Siddhaanta (well known as Sandharaa Dalai) did forecast about Shreemanta Shankardev as follows –

“ Bhaagavata Grantha padavandhe nibandhiba |
bhaashya Payaaraadi shaastra bistara kariba ||
bhangaaiba Panditagana kari baada byaakhyaa |
bhakati dharmaka aaro karibanta raksha ||
Sandharaaye bolo shunaa kahibo swarupe |
tomaara grihaka Hari aaliaa nija rupe ||”

Therefore, Sandharaa declared that the God Shreekrishna Himself incarnated in the name of Shreemanta Shankardev. The name of the child was given as Shree Shankar. Thus He was well known in the society as shree Shankar. When Shree Shankar was fifteen days old, His mother died. Then the orphan child Shree Shankar was brought up by His paternal grand mother Khersootee and maid Chandaree. shree Shankar spent playfully upto the age of eleven years. Then the grand mother Khersootee got tension and one day Shree Shankar was admitted in Sanskrit School of Mahendra Kandali.
Mahendra Kandali was a tradition obeying teacher and he advised Shree Shankar as mentioned below –

“ Maasa muga aadi kari naibedya Sambhaara |
devee poojibaaka jaanaa laagaya tomaara || “

Shree Shankar gave speedy reply in this way –

“ Shankare bolanta Guru shuniyo bachana |
deveeta kariyaa shrestha deva Naaraayana |
devee poojibaaka haasa chhaagala laagaya |
tulaseera poojaata ki deva tusta haya ? “

See, how astonishing it is ! Twelve years old Shree Shankar without introduced with alphabets, made a declaration to the world that “ Krishna Himself is the God “ which is the only truth of all the scriptures. The doctrine of Shree Shankar of present age (Kali Yuga) remind us of the doctrine made by Shree Krishna to His foster father Nandaraaj in dwaapar yuga. The king Nanda expressed desire for Indra worship and then Shree Krishna said to the King Nanda –

Lalaate likhita yito vihita savaare |
taaka ki aasiyaa indre guchaaibaaka paare ||
