gunara ichchhaaye buje yaara yena mati || (150)
Kato mandamati shaastra nakare bichaara |
karai kuladharma poorbba purusha aachaara ll
taako eri lavai kato paashandara mati |
yai moka napaayaa adhama adhogati || (151)

Nachaarai karmeeka shoke dukhe raati dine | gyaanato naahikai gati bhakati biheene I aane najaanaya ito bedara bichaara | eteke bhakati pantha sanmata aahmaara Il (152) (Sri Manta Sankardev Shreemadbhaagavat) Nothing but ‘Me’ is praised in Vedas, It is the essence and meaning of all vedas. Brahmaa told firstly to manu in happiness, seven sages knew the vedas afterwards. (148) After that gods-goddesses and atheists got the vedas, at the end human race got the vedas. Vedas are explained as per their own intellects, and abandoning the devotional essence ; they understand else. (149) Somebody says vedas tell about priestly rituals like yagya fasting and donation, somebody says vedas tell about small gods-goddesses and bathing in pilgrim. Somebody says vedas tell about the way of spritual wisdom ; and human being understand the vedas as per own quality and intellect. (150) Stupidus people do not study the scriptures, and simply carry out the superstitious rituals and traditions. Abandoning that too; they take the way of wicked fellow, they do not get ‘Me’ and take the evil way. (151) All the moment sorrow leave not them who keep faith on priestly rituals and idol worshipping, and no way through wisdom without devotion to the supreme being. others know not the mystery of vedas there on, therefore ‘the way of devotion’ is ‘My’ prescription.
