জগত গুৰু শ্ৰীমন্ত শঙ্কৰদেৱৰ অমৃত সিদ্ধান্ত
on request of society, he composed a drama named “Chihna-Yaatraa” in the year 1468 A.D. and showed in Tembuvanee of Bardowaa in order to confer knowledge to the society about the Baikuntha. The preceptor Shreemanta Shankardev composed six numbers of “Ankeeyaa naatak” in Brajabuli language (also known as Brajaavalee or Brajabhaashaa). The drama “Chihna – Yaatraa® is saturated with song-dance-musical instrument-dialogue and acting and that is why this drama is called as full-term perfect drama. Besides the songs and dances, Shankardev created musical instruments like ‘Khol’ and ‘taal’. Again itis to be mentioned that Shreemanta Shankardev is first youngest dramatist (composed Chihna-yaatraa in nineteen years of age), first director, first actor, first lyricist, first tune maker and first singer in the classical cultural field of the world. In this context IAS officer C.D. Tripathi (Ex. Secretary to the Hon’ble President of India) in his research article named ‘A new light on the early Brajabuli literature’ mentioned that – “Shree Shankardev was not only the first amongst the Brajabuli dramatist but also the most powerful dramatist and poetry writer of Brajabuli”.
Shreemanta Shankardev at the age of twenty one married Sooryavatee and after three years of marriage, a female child named manu was born. Sooryavatee died when Manu was of nie month of age. Khersootee and Chandaree helped much in bringing up the child manu. Manu had been married at the age of seven years with a kaayastha young boy named Hari.
FIRST PILGRIMAGE – Mahaapurush Shreemanta Shankardev at the age of thirty two, i.e. in the year 1481 A.D. went for pilgrimage accompanied by seventeen numbers of disciples. After completion of their journey to Jagannaath, Mathuraa, Vrindaavan, Hastinaapur, Haridvaar, Dvaarakaa, Badarikaashram, Kaashee, Nepaal and Setubandhan of Sounth India, they returned back to Bardovaa in the year 1493 A.D.
During that period, Indian society was in the stage of ruin, because of the superstitious practices like idol worship, sacrifice of animals & birds in the name of religion, giving girls of pre-puberty stage to the temple for amusement of ritualistic braamins, untouchability etc. The Indian culture was diverted from right path because during that period, the mass people had been obeying the superstitious traditions as the pure religion and pure culture. During twelve years of pilgrimage, Shankardev saw by himself the superstition centered traditions prevailing all over India. During pilgrimage, the world preceptor Shankardev promised to impart reformation to the Indian religion and culture and therefore he declared by composing a “Bargeet” in Uttar Pradesh which is his forefathers place. He declared in this way –
‘Dhrung: Mana Meri Raama charanehi laagu |
tai dekhanaa antaka aagu ||
Pada: mana aayu kshane kshane tute |
deha praana kona dina chhute ||
In this way, shreemanta Shankardev took the third step in his forefather’s place Uttar Pradesh in the direction of establishing his doctrine
