Shreemat Tulseedaas stated in his composition that the religion of this era (kaliyug) is listening & singing the glory of raam. He mentioned clearly in this context in following way –

In all the three eras that is Satya, tretaa & dvaapar, Shiva and Naarad advised the human race to listen & sing the glory of Krishna the supreme soul. Mahaapurush Tulseedaas mentioned in his scripture Raam Charit Maanas that Shiva in Tretra yug declared Shree Raam as the incarnation of the supreme Soul and shiva mentioned about the glory of Raam. Shiva told his wife Paarvatee about the glory of Shree Raam in following way –

It means, Shiva told Paarvatee (also known as Umaa, Doorgaa, Kaalee, Manasaa, Bhavaanee etc.) –
“O’ Umaa, all the gents and ladies of Ayoddhyaa are fortunate because the supreme soul Raam is the king of Ayodhyaa.”
