Mahaapurush Maadhavdev who was born in fifteenth century, stated a clear analysis on the context of “Prakriti and Purush” and this is the only essence of Sankhya Philosophy, Vedaanta philosophy, the scripture Geetaa and the scripture Bhaagavat. He composed in his “Naamghoshaa” in the following way –
“Prakriti Pursha durio niyantaa Maadhava|
Samastare aatmaa hari Parama baandhava||”
(from the scripture “Naamghoshaa” composed by Mahaapurush Maadhavdev)
In sanskrit scriptures it is found in this way –
“Krishna eva Paro Devah Pradhaana purusheshvarah|
Aatma Samastabhutaanaang Sataang Parama Baandhava||”
It means, all the creatures including the gods and goddesses are called as ‘Prakriti’. The ‘soul’ dwelling within the body of creature is called as “Purush”.
