SECOND PILGRIMAGE – Jagat Guru Shreemanta Shankardev at the age of ninety seven went for second pilgrimage in the year 1546 A.D. This time he went from Patbaausee accompanied by hundred twenty disciples. In this journey most obedient disciple Mahaapurush Maadhavdev was also with him. On completing six month pilgrimage at Jagannaath he returned back to Paatbaausee.

VRIDAAVANEE VASTRA THE RARE CREATION – According to the research oriented book of Dr. Maheswar Neog named “Shree Shree Maadhavdev” written on the basis of Biography of Shankardey, it is mentioned that on request of Naranaaraayan the king of koch Behaar, Shreemanta Shankardev, with the help of weavers of Taateekuchhi of Barpetaa district of Asam, made one hundred twenty hand long cloth and depicted on the cloth the mysterious activities of Shreekrishna at Vrindaavan, with the help of colourful threads. Shankardev himself was present to monitor & supervise the job and he taught the weaves how to depict photo and how to write alphabets on the cloth with the help of colourful threads. In order to complete this work, he often went on foot to Barpetaa via Rangiyaajaan and Kumaarkuchhi and making of Vrindaavanee Vastra was under complete direction of Shankardev: Shankardev, by making Vrindaavanee Vastra initiated the cottage industry in world history and put a strong step in the direction of economic and social progress of common people.
If the depicted mysterious activities of Shree Krishna, social system of then India and historical perspective are analysed, then the “Vrindaavanee Vastra” will be definitely among the wonders of the world. If the state and central govt. take initiative in this matter, the glory of India will increase by two fold. Now “Vrindaavanee vastra” is being preserved in viktoriyaa museum of London.

Mahaapurush Shreemanta Shankardev by making the Ek Sharan Hari ‘Naam Dharma as the central point, launched a paralled education of both religious and economic principle to the human society. Because Shankardev realised well that the religion is the meal for the people with full stomach. The people with starvation have no patience to accept the religious philosophy.
